BioLaika, a dog, was the first creature to reach orbital space on November 3rd, 1957. She was a mutt picked off from the streets of Moscow, and she died shortly after launch.
Why name my blog after a spacedog? Because she represents a lot of what you'll find here, namely, exploration, in a narcissitic way, but still....
